The Two Hour Office Transformation

The Two Hour Office Transformation

01 Before

This client wanted an affordable refresh of her office. She spends quite a bit of time in this space and wanted it to feel comfortable and inviting when entering the home, as the office is one of the first things you see.

We discussed the functionality of the room and keeping the cabinets in tact was a necessity for storage.

02 After

We started by removing the dated shelf and wallpaper between the built in cabinets. We quickly updated the cabinets themselves by simply replacing the dated angled crown molding with a clean line contemporary molding. We decided on making this an accent wall, and rather than painting the wall in my favorite Tricorn black by Sherwin Williams, I found this warm and modern slatted paneling from The Wood Veneer Hub. After a quick measurement, we were off to the races. Within one week, the panels were shipped and installation was scheduled. During this time I sent links for the accent pieces. Some gorgeous higher end vases from Crate and Barrel, and some equally gorgeous planters and a lamp from Walmart did the trick! On the adjacent wall I found four 30x30 frames at HomeGoods and had custom oversized mattes cut at Michael’s to accommodate 8x8 pictures with special meaning that were printed at Walgreens.
